On the first Friday of every month, enjoy a side of tasty tunes and great sounds with your lunch at Centre City. Sound Bite Sessions is a new live music partnership between Centre City and Taranaki Singer-Songwriters. Each 60-minute performance will celebrate shared stories and the unique essence that pulses through Taranaki from the voices and words of local singer-songwriters.

Sound Bite Sessions will offer an unparalleled opportunity to feast on both the soul and the senses, bringing the community together and building opportunities for original music in the local arts and entertainment scene.

The Sound Bite Sessions season will feature 13 local artists over seven scheduled performances from May to November.

A night of darkness down in the heart of Taranaki preformed by local artist Dani Ela, as well as Tamaki Makaurau Auckland acts Webs and Stag's Yarrow.

Dani Ela, an upcoming indie artist will be showcasing her new songs, both recently released and yet to be released in 2023 - from slow, heartfelt ballads, to melodic anthemy EDM tracks, and everything in between! Dani's signature sound of ethereal vocals, layered harmonies, catchy hooks and emotionally moving songs will be supported by a band made up of exceptionally talented local working music artists and creatives. Dani Ela’s live band will be playing integrated with Dani’s recorded productions for a massive, unique sound - featuring: Daniela Williams - Vocals, backing vocals, keys and electronics; Liana Hart - Opening act, and guitar & Backing vocals; Crystal Starr - Guitar & Backing vocals; Aaron Kivell - Bass; and Gareth Williams - Drums.

Dani writes chill pop, commercial songs with layers and layers of ethereal vocal harmonies and captivating melody hooks. She is heavily inspired by artists such as Eva Cassidy, Lennon Stella and Billie Eilish. There are only a limited number of tickets available for this gig, so be sure to secure yours! Join Dani with a selection of local singer songwriters as they perform original music during the summer celebrations held at New Plymouth's Festival of Lights. Dani will be performing her latest release "I've Had Enough" acoustically. Enjoy the beautiful scenery and walkways as you find your way around New Plymouth's well known Pukekura Park- this is sure to be a magical evening with many local talents. FREE for all ages.
